Lisa came to grassroots solutions in February of 2010 with a unique background in direct social services, community organizing and electoral politics. In her role as a project manager, Lisa implements grassroots campaigns, manages canvasses, and engages diverse communities.
Lisa’s recent client projects include the implementation of a grassroots campaign for the St. Paul Saints to build support for a community ballpark; assisting in the management of two canvasses in Virginia’s fifth congressional district; and working with the Bush Foundation to implement a large-scale community engagement initiative.
Lisa’s past experience includes working as a mental health counselor; graduating from Hamline University School of Law with a focus in public policy and conflict resolution; working on behalf of Native American rights; and serving as the deputy director for the Democratic Party in Brooklyn, NY.
In her spare time, Lisa can be found lobbying to make cancer a national priority, riding her bike, sewing something funky, and/or eating cheese.
