LaVonne Leih, Operations & Administration Assistant

LaVonne began her adventure at grassroots solutions in July 2009 as the executive administrative assistant to co-founders Dan Cramer and Robert Richman. In May 2011, she joined the Operations and Administration team, taking on the role of administering the client lifecycle, from the initial proposal to the final deliverable. LaVonne is also the new coordinator for the grassroots solutions’ internship program, overseeing each session from recruitment to the final evaluation.

LaVonne enjoys working and communicating with people from every walk of life and has spent the past twelve years working in various social service areas from administration to direct service. She took some time off to pursue a glamorous career in radio and television broadcasting and to expand her family, but then was right back at it, landing a job in the non-profit sector. LaVonne was able to focus her efforts on issues that were near and dear to her heart: early childhood intervention and prevention, stabilizing youth and families within their communities, juvenile justice, and children’s mental health – a cause that is near and dear to her heart because her son has Asperger’s Syndrome.

In her next life, LaVonne would like to be a civil and human rights attorney, a comedian, an author, and the founder of a large cat sanctuary to house her favorite Bengal tiger, Titan.
