In her role as grassroots solutions’ marketing communications manager, Julie develops and executes the firm’s marketing, communications, website, social media, events, and branding strategies.

Since joining the firm in May 2009, Julie has overseen the firm’s presence at several regional and national conferences including Netroots Nation 2011, systematized the firm’s marketing efforts, grown the firm’s social networks, overhauled the firm’s customer relationship management system, and refreshed the firm’s website and brand identity.

Prior to joining grassroots solutions, Julie spent seven years working in client services at several Minneapolis advertising agencies. Her clients included Belvedere and Chopin Vodka, Trex composite lumber, Cargill Salt, The Coleman Company, and Kawasaki. During her advertising career, Julie specialized in branding, social media, experiential marketing, strategic partnerships, and building strong client relationships. She is incredibly brand loyal and still to this day orders a Chopin and tonic with lime when she’s out on the town.

In her spare time, Julie can be found organizing in her neighborhood or working on the memoir her family so desperately does not want her to publish.
