Elizabeth Olson, Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer at grassroots solutions, Elizabeth is responsible for everything financial – reporting, budgeting, cash management – as well as contracts, human resources, and technology. Elizabeth also dabbles in other non-finance related projects such as choosing office furniture and finding someone-on-this-green-earth-and-I-mean-NOW who understands the Smartboard. Particularly in regards to the furniture selection, Elizabeth is lucky to have talented colleagues to assist her.

Elizabeth came to grassroots solutions from a career in finance and consulting, having worked for Northwest Airlines as the Director of Cash for several years, followed by a stint as an investment consultant for institutions (foundations, pension funds, etc.). She is a graduate of Oberlin College and holds an MBA from The Wharton School.

Elizabeth tries daily to thread the needle of creating and improving business structures and systems without quashing creativity and fun. She finds that, truly, some days this is easier than others.
