Daren joined grassroots solutions in February 2011. As a senior project manager, Daren has considerable experience in evaluations, audits, and engagement strategies. Daren’s current clients include Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Minnesota, the Minnesota Children’s Museum, and the Center for Community Change.

Prior to joining grassroots solutions, Daren worked as a community organizer focusing primarily on neighborhood development issues and as an analyst in county government. Daren has a B.A. from Carleton College and a Masters in Public Policy from the University of Minnesota.

Daren grew up in Duluth, Minnesota and keeps a little piece of himself there at all times. Although he thinks the movie Fargo is offensive, he is fully aware that he has an accent from time to time. The best advice Daren ever got came when he was just six years old after his father handed him a razor to help him with a project. As his father walked away, he said, “Just cut away from your face.”  To this day, Daren’s face is scar free.
