
Alisha is the staff assistant at grassroots solutions. The unique position lends Alisha to all staff members and many different roles in the firm. Aside from general office administration, Alisha provides the first line of defense in troubleshooting technology issues; trains and updates staff on changing technology and software; and assists the Director of Operations with the hiring and orientation process for new staff members. Alisha also serves as direct assistant and scheduler for two of the firm’s principals.
During her final semester at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities, Alisha worked as an intern to a State Senate member for the 2010 legislative session. Following graduation she went to work for the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party as that same senator’s Field Organizer for the 2010 election cycle. She considers this position one of the most challenging but rewarding jobs she’s ever had, and will forever be a campaigner at heart.
Post-election and before joining grassroots solutions in July 2011, Alisha worked in Saint Paul Mayor Chris Coleman’s office as a Government Relations staffer during the 2011 Legislative session, a position which allowed her to be in on all the action at the state Capitol and assist the City’s lobbyists. Alisha also had the pleasure of working with some of the grassroots staff on the St. Paul Saints regional ballpark initiative during her time with the City.
Alisha worked as a nanny during college where she quickly became good at all things kids related, and is currently ranked in the top five hide-and-go-seek players worldwide.
