On April 25, our own Lindsay Hanson was interviewed on MPR’s “The Daily Circuit” show, where she and Betsy Sinclair, assistant professor of political science at the University of Chicago, talked about social media and its impact on engagement. “Initially, there’s a sense that social media is in and of itself the strategy, instead of thinking of it as a tool to engage this really precious resource that you have, which is people. One of the things that we like to think about is different levels of ways that people can get involved…How do you actually use these tools to allow people to observe information and then move them up to following, endorsing, and develop their leadership…so that they are a part of getting others involved and helping to grow the network of people who can take action around an issue or a cause.” – Lindsay Hanson
