The Saint Paul Saints – St. Paul, Minnesota’s independent league baseball team – is looking for a new home. Supporters of the effort to build a new ballpark in Lowertown have organized themselves into a group known as “Ballpark Fans and Friends,” or “BFF” for short. With the help of grassroots solutions, BFF organizers learned the fundamentals of grassroots organizing before hitting the streets to build this community-driven campaign from the ground up.
In a few short months, Ballpark Fans and Friends signed up close to 2,000 supporters and 150 volunteers, including a dozen or so “super volunteers” who are working especially hard to build support for a new St. Paul Saints ballpark.

Ballpark Fans and Friends, along with the Saint Paul Area Chamber, are advocating for a new ballpark that would fit on the existing Diamond Products site next to the Farmers’ Market, helping bring jobs and energy to the city. BFF recently launched a new website, Facebook page, and Twitter account to connect with supporters and share the latest news about the ballpark initiative and volunteer opportunities. Check out the sites and share them with your friends and colleagues!
